August is Overdose Awareness Month

Updated: Aug 4

Every overdose death is one too many - and many are preventable.

This month, we honor those who have lost, support those affected by substance use, and encourage everyone to learn how they can help save a life. Every individual can make a difference by learning the signs of overdose, carrying naloxone, reducing stigma, and supporting recovery.

The NYC Regional Addiction Resource Center is committed to connecting New Yorkers with prevention, treatment, recovery and harm reduction services.

Visit https:www.rarc-iuany.org to explore resources available throughout New York City's five boroughs.

Together, we can save lives through action, compassion, and education.
