Our Mission
The mission of the New York City
Regional Addiction Resource Center (RARC)
is to reduce alcohol, drugs, gambling, and combat the stigma of addiction by bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders from the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. This is implemented through education, awareness, innovative, and culturally effective strategies that remove barriers, promote environmental prevention, support services, treatment, and recovery care via community outreach efforts, a monthly Substance Use Committee meeting, mini grant, focus groups, an online resource guide, and multiple media campaigns.
